The newest feature of Whatsapp is the Status which is really similar to the story feature of Instagram or Snapchat. when you share a status on Whatsapp, it lasts only 24 hours in the different section of Whatsapp. After 24 hours is finished the status will disappear and there is no save option for it. Even though you can try taking screenshots of the status you can not save a video. Let’s learn how to save a video status on Whatsapp.
For Android smartphone
In the first step, you need to download Google files on your smartphone. After that, you need to open the downloaded file. At the top left corner of the app, there is a menu section, when you find the icon tap on it. In the fourth step, tap on the Settings option. On this page switch turn on the Show Hidden Files option. After you switch the option, go to the file manager of your phone. Here you need to find internal storage and when you find it tap on the Whatsapp section. This section will lead you to media. In media, you need to choose the Status option. In this folder, every status you shared will be viewed, tap on the one which you want to save to your phone. With long pressing on the video, you will save it to the desired location such as gallery, file, downloads, and camera. If you do not see any choosing options, this means the status will be in the WhatsApp media folder.
Unfortunately, to save each status you need to do these steps again, there is no multiple saving on Whatsapp status. However after you save the status, it will remain in your phone forever unless you delete it.
